Teamsters Local 284 welcomes you, the employees of Logan Elm Local School District, after prevailing in the SERB Representation Election. Teamsters Local 284, with great support from a distinct majority of potential voters, prevailed over “no Representative”, 21-12.

The support and active participation in the election drive carried the day, and will, no doubt, lead to a successful contract negotiation and better wages and working conditions.

After the tally, there is a 10-day objection period in the event that either party wishes to register a legal challenge to election results with SERB. While that is not likely, SERB cannot act until that period has expired.  Barring any election objections, the tally will be approved at the next Board meeting, October 10, 2019, and Teamsters Local 284 will be certified by SERB as the exclusive bargaining representative. After the Board’s order of certification is mailed, Local 284 will file a Notice to Negotiate and schedule a meeting with you to discuss contract proposals.  Representatives for the Union and the School Board will then schedule dates for negotiations.
